Earnings, IPO ignite Dean Foods rally

Dean Foods reported second-quarter earnings of $0.36 a share, beating the $0.31 average analyst forecast. It also announced it would sell shares of its WhiteWave organic-food unit and use the money to pay down debt. Guidance was strong as well. DF surges almost 30 on my tradeMONSTER platform before the bell.
MEMC Electronic Crushes Estimates
MEMC Electronic Materials reported second-quarter profit of $0.14 a share on revenue of $933.4 million. Analysts had expected a loss of $0.02 on revenue of $749.51 million. WFR rallies 38 percent in the premarket.
Priceline.com Drops on Weak Guidance
Priceline.com's earnings beat expectations, but revenue missed. Even more important was the weak guidance. Management projected third-quarter profit of no more than $11.21 a share, well below the $12.82 expected by analysts. PCLN drops 15 percent in early trading.
