Jobless claims, home sales lead docket

Today's economic calendar is full, starting with jobless claims but also covering consumer sentiment, existing home sales, leading indicators, natural-gas inventories and the Philadelphia Fed Survey.
The unemployment filings will be reported at 8:30 a.m. ET. The consensus forecast calls for 365,000 initial claims, up from 350,000 in the previous week and within an estimated range of 360,000 to 375,000. Continuing claims are expected to decline to 3.3 million from 3.304 million
The weekly Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index will follow at 9:45 a.m. ET.
Existing home sales for June will be reported at 10 a.m. ET. The consensus expectation is a gain of 4.65 million from May's 4.55 million. Estimates range from 4.6 million to 4.73 million.
The Philadelphia Fed Survey for July will also be released at 10 a.m. ET. The consensus estimate for general business activity is -8, up from the -16.6 level in June and within a range of -15 to -2.
Leading indicators for June come out at 10 a.m. ET as well. Analysts are forecasting a reading of -0.1 percent, down from May's 0.3 percent and within a range of -0.2 percent to 0.2 percent.
The weekly EIA natural gas inventories are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. ET.
