Today's economic calendar begins the second half of the year with important manufacturing and construction data.
The PMI manufacturing index for June will be released at 8:55 a.m. ET. There are no forecasts for this report, which had a reading of 52.9 in May.
The ISM manufacturing index is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. The consensus forecast for the June report is 52, down from May's figure of 53.5. Estimates range from 51 to 53.4.
Construction spending for May comes out at 10 a.m. ET. The consensus expectation is a print of 0.2 percent, a decline from April's 0.3 percent. The range of estimates is from -0.1 percent to 1 percent.
Three- and six-month Treasury bill auctions will be announced at 11:30 a.m. ET.
