AGP: SEE CHART GET CHAIN

Major Merger in Managed Health Care

The acquisition price is a 43 percent premium to Amerigroup's closing price on Friday. WellPoint says the deal will create "an industry leader in the government sector serving Medicaid and Medicare enrollees." AGP is up more than 38 percent while WLP is higher by 3 percent on my tradeMONSTER extended-hours platform.


Thomson Reuters Acquires FX Alliance

The media conglomerate will acquire the Forex trading portal for about $625 million in cash. The $22-per-share deal represents roughly 40 percent more than the company's stock valuation at the end of last week. FX is up more than 39 percent in pre-market trading.


Sirius XM Pops With Higher Subscribers

The satellite radio operator raised its revenue outlook for fiscal 2012, projecting $3.4 billion compared with the consensus forecast of $3.36 billion. The company based the new figures on higher subscription estimates, which it raised to 1.6 million from 1.3 million for the full year after adding 622,042 subscribers in the second quarter. SIRI is up more than 4 percent this morning.
